Sidearms & Scatterguns What 45 to buy????

Re: What 45 to buy???? My votes goes to Springfield, they have great customer service that hopefully you will never have to use. I had 2 bad experiences with Kimber. Do your homework and keep asking questions. See if your local gunshop will let you shoot a used model. Good luck.

To carry or not to carry

Re: To carry or not to carry Leave it home. You'll open yourself up to a civil lawsuit if you have ever have to use it and anyone questions the legitimacy of the shoot. If your Sheriff is that narrow minded he may not back you up, the department will not back you up and the county won't back...

To buy or not to buy.....gold

Re: To buy or not to buy.....gold If you have available funds or are looking for a place to park cash to save right now than go ahead and buy it. Gold is a hedge to protect your purchasing power for the future. Gold is artificially suppressed by the gov't and big banks however they can only...

    Mid size truck help?

Re: Mid size truck help? I vote for the Toyota. A friend of mine has a small fleet (5-6 Tacomas) that he uses to deliver supplies for his company in our tri-state area. He buys them new and runs these trucks for 300K-400K and then sells them to replace with another new one as required. I own...

Sidearms & Scatterguns looking for a .40 cal

Re: looking for a .40 cal I like the Glock 22, if you go with a Gen 4 he would have the option to change out the back strap to make it larger for his hands. I also own & like the S&W M&P, again they offer 3 different palm grips. Either one would make a fine home defense weapon and both are...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Help me choose a pistol

Re: Help me choose a pistol I'm a big Glock Glock fan. A friend of mine asked me to check out the S&W M&P so I did and all I can say is wow! I love the way this gun feels in my hand. I bought the Pro series which comes with nights sights and a trigger set to 3.5-4 lbs and resets quicker than...

Sidearms & Scatterguns M&P or XD

Re: M&P or XD I like the M&P. I purchased a new XDM .40 and had FTE issues. Springfield Customer service was great about fixing it but I decided to go with the M&P, it feels good in my hand and I have has no issues with of the ammo I use. I sold the XDM.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Wilson vs. Brown vs. Baer vs. Nighthawk

Re: Wilson vs. Brown vs. Baer vs. Nighthawk All 4 have stellar reputations. I went with Wilson for the good reputation of customer service. Their guns have a lifetime warranty that follows the gun not the buyer. I have a used (5 yr old) CQB with a 2000 round count and a new CQB Elite. Another...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why I will never buy another kimber

Re: Why I will never buy another kimber I purchased a SS 4" Raptor and it had FTF issues, after working with Kimber they offered to pay to have it shipped back and polish the feed ramp. This gun was also finnicky about magazines. After 500 rounds of frustration (while trying to follow their...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Carry gun - Your thoughts?

Re: Carry gun - Your thoughts? I'll carry a 5" 1911, a 4" M&P 40 but by far my favorite CCW is the glock 19 with a Glock 17 rd mag in it. I think this gun is easy to conceal, easy to shoot and the most reliable thing I have ever owned. It's versatile because I can carry a couple of 33 rd mags...

Sidearms & Scatterguns When shooting your handgun at the range.

Re: When shooting your handgun at the range. I always practice at the 7yd, 15 & 20yd distances. I shoot at the 25yd but I don't think this is a realistic scenario, if I have that much distance between me and a threat it's time to move out! Just my .002

Sidearms & Scatterguns TRP concealed carry

Re: TRP concealed carry I use a Galco Concealable holster http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPG3.asp?ProductID=207&GunID=157 with my TRP and it rides high and comfortable. Another option is the Galco Combat Master (I also own one of these), it's more of a pancake holster but again it is very...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Competition Shooting: M&P9 vs Glock 17

Re: Competition Shooting: M&P9 vs Glock 17 I am not a competition shooter but my wife and I own a Glock 19 and a S&W M&P Pro series, hands down we prefer the S&W. Check out the Pro Series model, the trigger is awesome and IMHO it feels better in my hand, it also comes with 3 different size...

    USPS Sucks

Re: USPS Sucks It does suck. In the states I only use Fed Ex or UPS. When I'm overseas and forced to use USPS, I always insure the package and cross my fingers it doesn't get lost. They have lost a few packages of mine.
