Sent in 600 pieces of .308 brass for reloading with 155 Scenars back in December 2012. Currently waiting for a tracking number. No order number as I sent in the brass with an order form and a check.
Order arrived in 13 June 2013.

Re: Looking at a Mark 6 1-6 TMR...
Thanks for the hint—I found the 1–6 TMR-D picture. The link on Leupold's product page also now works.
Looks like the segmented circle is 2 mils, or about 7 MOA. That seems fine.
Time to start saving my shekels…
Re: Looking at a Mark 6 1-6 TMR...
This scope with the TMR-D and the USO 1–4 DFP are both at the top of my list. Does anyone have photos of the TMR-D reticle that they could post? It looks like the crosshairs are open in the center and that turning on the illumination reveals a dot there. I'm...
Re: Hunting with suppressors in Georgia: 2013 edition
I just wrote my reps and Gov. Deal asking them to support this bill. This is a case where everybody wins. Hunters would get a great option to protect their ears while still hearing everything going on around them. The general public would...
Re: Deciding between TBAC 30P-1 and 30BA. Help..
Is there an advantage to the muzzle-brake mount in that the brake's baffles provide some blast shielding for the can's baffles and slow erosion?
Re: Nightforce Mil-R Reticle
Not a fan for the same reason that I don't like the reticle in my SWFA 5–20x50: the sizes of the features aren't obvious. The ranging setup off to the side looks fine. I'm 99% sure that the scope that replaces my SWFA will have an MSR reticle. That design floats...
I hadn't come across the Steiner Military 3–15x50 before. I'm guessing it's a new scope, essentially a scaled-down version of their 5–25x56. Same dual-turn indicator and option for the MSR reticle, which I like a lot. It could be a good match for my .308 bolt gun. Any word on availability &...
During the 2012 session, the bill permitting the use of suppressors for hunting never made it out to a final vote.
Has anyone caught news if it's to be re-introduced this session?

Re: Starter .30 cal can?
Here's one data point…
I'm running a Ti SAS Arbiter on my AI AW .308 with the TOMB mount that was installed by Mile High Shooting. The rifle groups as well with the can as without. POI shift is a repeatable 0.1 mil left and 0.2 mil up. It's quite comfortable to shoot...
Re: denials using a quicken trust
I've three stamps in my collection thanks to a Quicken trust. In fact, the NFA dealer (Bullseye in Lawrenceville, GA) through which I did my Form 4s happily draws up such trusts for customers at no charge as part of their excellent customer service.

Re: Decibel level of a suppressed, supersonic .308?
I'm also interested in this one. I regularly shoot my 20" .308 AI AW with an SAS Arbiter can and no hearing protection. I haven't noticed any discomfort while shooting or ringing afterwards.
Now my 16" AR-15 is another story thanks to...

Re: 26" vs 16-20" .308
I have a 20" barrel on my AI AW.
Southwest Ammo 175 SMK: 2580 fps
Southwest Ammo 155 SMK: 2790 fps
PPU 147 FMJBT: 2845 fps
I got my rifle with the folding stock and picked the 20" barrel so that that it would fit a Pelican 1700 with an SAS TOMB installed.

Re: Southwest Ammo reloads
I just sent in 600 pieces of once-fired Winchester .308 brass for loading with 155 Scenars. I originally purchased the ammo as their Standard Match loads. This will be my first reloads from Southwest, and I'll post a range report with chrono results when I get the...
Re: Tripods and tripod rifle rests?
I went the DIY route for the rifle support: link. It cost me less than $20 in materials from Home Depot.
I already had the tripod, ballhead, and an extra mounting plate. None of those thing were cheap.

Re: Steiner Military 5-25 Pictures and Video
This looks like an excellent scope, and I particularly like the MSR reticle. Does anyone who bought one regret their decision or not springing for an S&B?

Re: MagnetoSpeed Chronograph Review
My V2 model arrived last week, and I took it to the range on Saturday to chronograph a couple of different rounds. The chronograph couldn't have been simpler to use, and the clamping system worked great to hold the sensor onto my titanium SAS 7.62...
Re: Cradle for precision shooting?
If you already have a tripod, then you can easily make a rest using a section of PVC pipe, a T-nut, felt, and bracket appropriate to your tripod head. A picture and additional commentary: link.
