Sidearms & Scatterguns Accuracy for IDPA

5" at 20 yds is fine for starting out in action pistol. Don't think of it as controlling recoil. Focus on putting every shot into the -0 (especially important in IDPA) and speed will come automatically. Good grip strength and learning to observe the sights as they recoil are all skills that play...

Rifle Scopes Meopta ZD 1-4 vs. Vortex Razor 1-6

I shot the Meopta ZD for about a year before switching to the Swaro 1-6x for 3 gun. A ZD can be had for around $750 with a good mount if you look around and buy used. It is a great scope for the game, especially if your local matches don't run much past 300 yards. The extra mag on the Vortex is...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Fnx 45

DSG makes good stuff. I've got a couple of their holsters, buy with confidence. They're one of the few places that make holsters for M&P Pros with a light.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Les Baer 1911 with 1.5 guarantee Problem

Here's what that cute little mark will look like after a few thousand rounds. The upside is, once it looks like this, you don't have to worry about how it looks anymore.

    Offset Back Up Irons

I'm remembering someone saying that people were having problems getting the XS offsets to zero. Might want to check that bafore buying.

Opinions on the Jp Enterprises trigger?

It's my favorite. But it is a single stage, so if two stage is your thing look at Geissele or AR Gold.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Hi-Cap .45 anything wrong with a P14-1911?

SVI makes the most badass pistols known to man, but are priced accordingly and the wait time is long. They're 2011s, a high cap 1911 style pistol.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 grips - need recommendation

I have VZ gunners on mine also. They've worn down a bit over time, they're not as aggressive as they used to be and they're just about right.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Hi-Cap .45 anything wrong with a P14-1911?

I agree. My pick for a high cap .45 would be a G21. I don't really even trust non-custom 2011s like the STI in any caliber.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Instructor Belts for CC

I've been using a Wilderness Frequent Flyer belt since 2008 for carry and competition. Wilderness belts are the bomb. If I have to tuck a shirt in I use a thick leather 1.5" belt that I found at some random clothes store, it's plenty stiff for everything except a desert eagle.

Sidearms & Scatterguns need a holster for pistol self defense class

Blade-Tech is my favorite production non-retention holster. Safariland ALS is my favorite level 1 holster. Can't go wrong with either.

    Gas Block Clearance

Handguards are pretty flexy. That's not enough.

    Looking for AR15 22rf upper

I'm not sure that's the best platform for what you're looking for. My Nordic upper shoots about 3" @ 100 yds with Fed automatch. I've never tried match .22s, but I wouldn't expect them to cycle. Check out Taccom and JP's version of the Nordic also.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Salient Arms International

Salient's work is gorgeous, but when you get right down to it....a $2k+ Glock is still a Glock. I had about a grand in an M&P for a competition gun and it was exactly what I wanted for it. Salient has had some problems in the past, enough so that I'd be nervous about sending guns to them when...

    Surefire, PWS or SJC

The Titan is the most effective, but if the others are just loud, the Titan is deafening and the pressure blast to others is like getting punched in the face. But, it is the most effective. Consider the Rolling Thunder also.

The best group I've ever personally seen shot with an AR came out of a WOA barrel.

talk me out of...or into...an ACR

Friend of mine bought one and screwed an AAC M4-2K on the end and immediately starting getting end cap strikes. Light enough that it didn't hurt the can but heavy enough that the bullets were keyholing at 30 yards.

Suppressors Which Muzzle brake for my XCR barrel (.308)

The SJC Titan, Benny Hill Rolling Thunder, and Surefire are the most effective .308 comps. They will all be very loud. I'm not sure what threads your barrel will have, but make sure you purchase the correctly matching thread for the compensator. You will need to rezero after installing, or at a...
