    I've done a similar crown for well over a decade. It's just the finishing touches on it that make it nice. A machinist would pick up more by looking at it then the typical customer would.

    Our new crown. I reworked the program and came up with this. I added some radiuses to it. You won't do this on a manual machine so it gives a slightly new look to it. I feels it proves to be a leader in quality instead of a follower of others

    What is causing these gouges on my brass?

    This is very common on AR's in 308 or like calibers. I wish it wasn't but unfortunately it is. If you are going to run that load there is no way around that happening. There is enough pressure to cause slight brass flow into the ejector area and the bolt is rotating to boot at the same time...
