I had good results with my spr using 168 SMK, 43gr 4064, CCI 200, and lapua brass - 2.80". I've not used Varget so I can't help there.
FN tests these guns with FGMM 168's. If nothing else, try a few of those and see how it shoots.
Best of luck
Re: Bedding job question
Pillar bedding was originally done to prevent overcompression of wood stocks. Mcmillan told me that they didn't think it made much difference when it came to fiberglass stocks. If you are overcompressing fiberglass then you're probably over torquing your action...
Re: Which Bolt Action Rifle Should I Buy? 2012
If you like the kimber action then get an FN SPR A5m - about 2k and you just need a scope and rings. Rifle comes with a 1moa guarantee and most shoot around .5 moa groups with match ammo.
Re: What groups to expect out my AR15?
My 6920 is a 1.5-2 moa rifle with match 75gr black hills. That said, it's well suited for combat as bravosector1 indicated.

I'd guess it would be the same - short=short. But you'd know for sure if you call the stock manufacturer. The stocks are milled on a CNC machine for the specific action and barrel profile.
Re: model 70 inlet

You can call...

Re: Federal Gold Metal Match Brass Q
Interesting thread - I have a lot of fed brass but haven't seen these issues on my reloads. I load mine with 43gr IMR 4064 and 168 SMK. Primers seem to slip in snugly when seating and they are not loose after firing, but maybe I don't have as many reloads...
Re: School me on the AK platform!
I have an arsenal. It's nice, very reliable but not really a tack driver. I'm sure the ammo plays a big part there. My father-in-law has a norinco that shoots a little more accurately at distance. The disadvantage to the AK is weight IMO. They would more...
