    The whole ITAR thing is BS. ITAR was 'designed' to control what was exported outside the US boundaries, not control what was manufactured with in its borders. The ITAR letter that got everyone's undies in a bundle was an Obama-era ploy to control guns. The government over-stepped its limits.

    New to this game. What, if any, mods need to be done to a Rem 700 LA Mag to use 300WM CIP mags and bottom metal? Any one care to provide a link for suitable bottom metal and mags? As I said, I'm new to this and confused as h3ll.

    The Bergara ruled out because it was too much $$? R U kidding? Basic HMR is ~$900 on the street. HMR Pro in the $1500 range. RPRs are in the neighborhood of $1100 last I looked. Buy the basic HMR, put a TriggerTech in it and go shoot.

    Ammo for Bergara hmr pro?

    Spent a few days at the K&M shooting Complex a couple weeks ago. All we shot was the Bergara HMR PRo in 6.5CM. Ammo was 140ELD-Match. Easily a sub-MOA combination. No problems ringing steel at 1000yds.
