    Nesika Tactical 338 LM vs Sako TRG 42

    I just have no experience with the Nesika but the Sako TRG 42 is an amazingly accurate and well made rifle. I have absolutely no complaints with it. Not knowing about the Nesika I can not talk about it.

    I think the Steyr SSG 04 or the more expensive Sako TRG 42 in 300 Win Mag (both) are EXTREMELY accurate. They are my first choice and i love them both.

    I would not worry about the SBR being louder as you should be using ear muffs or ear plugs. With the 50 cal you need both.

    sakobob - Most cars will vary in top speed and acceleration by 10%. The new Vette is good for 3.8 0-60 and mine will also do 0-60 in 3.8 so no need to let GM know my vette is so fast. The newer Vettes also have way narrower tires and i find it hard to imagine better handling or acceleration...

    I have the same Sig 3000 and unlike heavy weapons there is absolutely no bruising or black and blue marks. You say you are in good health but maybe your platelet level is low or have I.T.P.? I can shoot the 308 all day with zero bruising and it is not like the 458 Mag which does leave a mark...

    Anyone painted a rifle tripod?

    I wonder how brake cleaner will effect the resin on the carbon fiber? If anything I would use the epoxy paint from Brownells, Aluma-Hyde, and still be aware that the sliding action of the legs will wear the paint.

    Do AICS mags need to 'break in'?

    I know my Glock mags need a break in period as they will only load one short of full capacity until they break in.
