    Longrange Steel Thickness

We want to set up a 100-300 yd steel range purely for .22lr. Have hit Hardox 400 plates at 200 yd it can be difficult to hear the ring in the wind let alone see the plate move. What would you recommend that will swing yet survive the hits and ring? Cheers

    Removing pages on Garmin 701?

Does anybody know if it's possible to remove pages from the Garmin 701 screen? I only use a couple and never need half of them, it would make going through them quicker. Cheers

    AI AX308 Grip mods?

I will put my hand up straight away and say Cheetor is known to me, and I Cerakote his parts. It never ceases to amaze me how people complain about something that someone has taken time and money to develop and offer to the public, then run it down because it does not "Fit" into there perfect...

701 and Sig 2400 Profile Problem

Okay all fixed now, had to do a hard reset on the 701. Interesting that when you do a hard reset it remembers the profiles?

701 and Sig 2400 Profile Problem

A real odd one. I have a sig 2400BDX and a Garmin 701. I have several profiles for different rifles. When I use any profile but the 6.5 Creed one everything works as it should, I get dope on the 701 and in the Sig display. However if I select the 6.5 Creed in the 701 I never get dope back in the...

Which is why I said we do the AI actions at 95C and checked that with AI.

It'a a complete "Cluster F" here for measurements, we use Litres for fuel and drinks, Miles for distance and speed, Stones or Kilo for weight. Celsius for temp but inches for rain fall...and it goes on!

I do the AI actions at 95 degrees Celsius, Plastics at 70 degrees C, Scopes at 60 degrees C, Normal Metal at 120 degrees C. We use Celsius in the UK.

No did not debond, we have done a few now and experimented with one ages ago, 100 degrees C and it did not melt the epoxy.

Normal process, just did the plastics and rubber with the scope at a lower temp. It does wear off after a bit of abuse but as I change the colour every year it never gets to that stage.

Well it was time for the yearly AI AXMC rifle colour change. I thought something different, 5 colour Digital camo. I did not think it would take 36 hours! Full strip down, degrease, blast and then the layers of Cerakote H Series. Over 1600, yes 1600 individual stencils applied, that alone...

    1967SPUD

Mark "Spud" is a great guy to deal with here in the UK. You won't have a problem. But like above "Covid" could be a problem for deliveries?

    Clear scope front element protection

I shoot a competition once a year where it's in a giant sand pit. Lying next to guys really close with .338 brakes blasting sand back at the front of my scope. Before you say, no I cant move further away from them, 20 guys firing 10/20 rounds at the same time under the clock all in a tight row...

I got it now, that makes sense. Cheers

    The Modern Wind Rose.

Sorry I was not clear. In the article the Rose you download has "Zero" values in the 12 & 6 clock positions. Then in the example shown the positions are filled in with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. Just wondered why, it's confusing me...not unusual!

    The Modern Wind Rose.

Sorry for being a bit thick... But where does the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 numbers come from on the example? The downloaded rose chart is blank in the 12, 6, clock positions.

    Don't Update Garmin 701!

I just did a hard reset on the 701. Re-paired the 2400 & 701. Now works. No more updates for me!

    Don't Update Garmin 701!

No, I tested it outside on the range. I tried re-pairing it, tried deleting the pairing in 701. I have all the profiles backed up, so I will do a full reset, not the quick one. Wipe everything and see if that works. I can't even see what the Garmin update did? Did it add something?

    Don't Update Garmin 701!

Hi, Yes they both communicate with each other, the 2400 should receive the information from the 701.

    Don't Update Garmin 701!

I mistakenly updated My Garmin 701 this week to the latest update. Now the 701 won't send the drops to my Sig2400. Having waited months for the last updates to make it work, now its stopped again. I will have to wait for more updates to get it to work again... Then I'm Never going to update...
