    I found out my tripod was too flimsy when I bought a spotting scope. I bought a Vanguard Alta. Tried it out in light to medium winds at 20-60x and it's working well.

    +2 on Rex's videos. I watch them all. I have the 10x sitting here. Thought for the money I can't go wrong. Great for long distance AR platforms or keep around for a back up.

    I have heard good reviews of the burris/swfa 1 piece mount. Seems to be ok for the money. I bought seekins rings for mounting a scope to AR. I figured if the scope goes down and I go to back up sights, there isn't much difference...1 or 2 screws.

    From what I have seen the .30 cal cans usually do pretty well on .223. You lose the tight bore but gain internal volume.

    Went over to my gunsmiths today and looked over my new LRP. He's going to go through it and mount my scope, etc. I took my chances and ordered from Bud's on the 13th and my rifle came with the new stock.

    I have one that just arrived at my FFL. Hopefully it has the new stock. I wanted to start with the sturdiest action that still had a magazine. Don't understand why the 10/110 with drop mags have the top milled away.
