The foreseeable future of the 300 aac blackout?

The only reason I would change would be if I decided to use a suppressor and actually wanted an AR to be quiet...other than that I'll just use my model 94 30/30 if I want slow moving 30 caliber projectiles out to 200yds as I don't see ANY advantage of a 300 BO if using it unsuppressed. I also...

Tips for a guy thinking about Giraud

You only need one cutter head. I would add a few blades to my order(each has 3 sides) I'm still on the second cutting blade of the original so they last a long time but better to have... The cutter heads are a cinch to adjust while still attached to the machine.

    How many people turn necks?

Its a Remington 700 issue but pertains to any rifle that has an ejector that works by pressing a plunger type ejector via 14-22 pounds of spring pressure on one side of the case head. You can have a trued up Remington 700 action and perfectly concentric ammunition and when you close the bolt...

    How many people turn necks?

I don't do it because all I run is Remington 700's and the ejector puts so much pressure on one side of the case head that nothing is concentric even if it was perfect before you chambered it

Need HELP: POI shifting throughout course of fire

I would be more concerned with the optic at this point. After adjustment the POI doesn't shift=optics not tracking ETA: Unable to tell if your rings are aluminum. Have seen similar situation(and other unexplainable POI shifts 100 percent of the time) when aluminum rings are used and the optic...

Gunsmithing gun action is crooked once its tight

Sounds like the recoil lug is canted. If you remove the action from the stock and install the front screw in the receiver the screw head should be in alignment with the trigger group and the recoil lug should be flat. Here's one with a canted lug:

    165 vs 168 gr for .308

If it doesn't say Match in the title then it is no good for target/distance shooting...not really but that seems to be the main-stream logic. Ironically the 165gr Sierra Game King HPBT can be used interchangeably for the loads I've developed in .308 and 30/06 with 168gr SMK's...probably because...
