    20" 7-08 Gas gun

    Re: 20" 7-08 Gas gun I can put 140gr Berger VLDs out of my 24" .260 REPR at 2750fps. they should still be carrying 696lbs of energy at 1000 yards. i dont know much about the 7-08 ballistics, but it seems that your not giving up much for a flatter shooting .260 with less recoil.

    Re: .260 with a 1 in 9 if you have the option i would get a 1 in 8 twist if you want to shoot the 140gr bullets. I shoot the 140gr Berger VLD's out of a 24in Kreiger with a 1 in 8. with 42.8gr of IMR 4350 they will go 2715fps. with a 20in bbl i would guess you would be around 2400-2500fps...

    Re: Adjustable gas block question????? yup, your right, i forgot about that. you are supposed to run a tap through the screw hole for the adjustment screw, but its not real necessary. just run the screw in all the way the first time to seat it in the gas tube and it will work just fine.
