Not sure. The KRG Bravo video reveals a screw immediately behind the mag well which may interfere with the trigger hanger. If it does, an easy mod might be able to make it fit. Need to get one in here. I hope it works. That would make for a great build at a phenomenal price. Ted

That cases was intentionally cut to ensure that the case would not contain pressure. Our aim was to pressurize the receiver in order to see if it would blow apart. We're testing the mechanical properties of the receiver during these tests, its metallurgy essentially. Ted

Might work. The rifle in the Vudoo both at Shot Show had a short action CDG with Hawkins bottom metal. Some material removal was necessary near the back end of the mag box because of an interference with the trigger hangers. We just need to make Andy aware of this and he'll have to decide...

Yes. The Xylo's mag latch will keep the forward end of the mag close to the receiver.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Nope. Not too worried about that considering what happened to the receiver. I don't think there's a reason to add "recyclable" to the problem statement for designing bombs. Ted

Over the years, many people have asked us for this. I've been reluctant to do it because I don't want my customers blowing their faces off in the event that they drank to much whisky while handloading and carelessly dumped a bunch of Varget into a 300 WM or 338 LM. We blow actions up during...

AIAW mag versus AICS (aka AI) mag What follows pertains specifically to short actions. The Coup De Grâce runs both AICS and AIAW mags. The AICS mag will require a mag latch that is about .07" shorter than that for the AW mag. If you're wondering which mag is better, it is the AW for sure...

Barrel Torque I normally recommend torques of at least 100 lb-ft, 150 is better, because I don’t what barrels coming loose on large caliber, lighter weight guns, like hunting rifles. Hard-to-diagnose accuracy problems are also possible as a result of low torque. More torque is just cheap...

Shot Show I'm flying to Shot Show as I type this. For those of you at the show, there will be a Coup De Grâce action branded Vudoo Gunworks, model Morphius in the Vudoo both just as soon as I can get it there, probably around noon today. I promised Paul and Jill, owners of Vudoo, that I would...

Thread Timing The Coup De Grâce will have a timed barrel thread. However, that does not mean that pre-fit barrels will time to within a degree or two. We cut a 1.0625-20 UN 2B female thread into the receivers. Accordingly we also specify a 1.0625-20 UN 2A male thread for the barrel. For...
