    Yeah, I think they (Hornady) got the ammo figured out, at least the 20gr load seems to do well. My bolt experience is minimal (owned a R700 back in the day, currently have a Savage BMAG in .17WSM and a LaRue Siete). Not sure what a left bolt right port setup is, but I wish my bolts were operated...

    Not to argue a point on the AR platform, but I like using ARs because of faster follow-up shots. I've hand instances where I pop a dog, another appears and I can quickly take aim and pop another. I simply can't do that with a bolt gun. Have you tried the .17WSM? It's a screamer.

    FIFY. I was impressed with how well and how far we were able to tag dogs with the .17WSM in AZ (longest kill was 240 yards with the WSM, iirc) Awesome cartridge. We took several rifles that week. I took my 18" AR and had an absolute blast. I'll find the videos on youtube and post them up.

    I have a LaRue Siete as well, which is currently wearing an older Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50. I may need to upgrade that, too, and move the Bushnell back to my 20" .223 AR... This thread is going to cost me a lot of $$$. LOL

    OBR 7.62 and non-Larue Suppressors

    Mine ended up being the AAC ammo I was shooting. With milspec XM80 it was fine. I plan to test with FGMM and some others next range trip.

    Yes, mostly for aiming and hold overs, but I want FFP and MIL/MRAD so I can at some point start to dabble in ranging targets based off the reticle, etc. That said, I always have a 1300 yard range finder in my pack.
