I picked 500 up on trade a while back from Sagewa from Seattle guns; he's a mod on that forum SeattleGuns.NET

To bad i couldn't make it down there to see you guys in action, sounds like you guys had fun. I tested out some 175 smk out of my 700, got about .75 to 1.0 moa. More trigger time and some better glass is needed though.

You're correct, these rings just got released with the redesigned internal bubble level so i'm probably one of the first to get it. Here is a two month old thread about ARC rings: http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/snipers-hide-rifle-scopes/180173-american-rifle-company-rings.html

Just got my American Rifle co rings today, now i just need some good glass to go with it when my money is right. Pictures are kind of dark though. It's also good to know i'm supporting a local company as well.

So you're saying if i attached a die grinder to my cleaning rod and spun that brush up to 25000 rpm that would not be a good for the barrel;)

Thanks for the input guys. When i first got my 700 i ran about 200rds through it then cleaned it. Went to the range a few weeks later and my groups were all over the place, i thought maybe something had come loose. Not know any better at that time i tried to re-zero it, dialing all over the...

I have a question for you precision shooters: I was watching the art of the precision rifle video and it talked about cleaning out copper from a barrel could cause a big decrease in accuracy until a few rounds are fired and new copper is in the barrel What is your experiences with cleaning and...

Nothing big; about 120 yards flat then another +50 if you climb a little bit. There is another area out there that looked promising(800+) but i haven't figured out how to get down there to set-up targets yet. I was with some people who wanted to leave so i never got to try it out.

Went to forest road 70 out by green water for a little bit of plinking. No dumb asses showed up. They usually don't at 6am:cool:

Yeah i don't really have the proper gear at the moment, if i get what i need by that time we'll see. The cheap glass i got right now probably won't work so well, i got a good bi-pod though but if anything i'll go through the safety briefing.

Fedcop: you should sign up for membership at the SPAA. Get discounts and use of the LEO rifle range there or at least i think you can. Not to many people shoot there so you could do a lot of testing. Not the best range but it's private for the most part. Seattle Police Athletic Association Home Page

If you're on Seattle guns there is a guy by the name of sagewa that does reloading sessions at his place, I'm not sure if he's still doing that or not though, he lives in Renton. He's also a modearator for the site and sells reloading supplies. I picked up some smk 175 off of him for trade...

According to Lees reloading data for a 175 grain at max load of 45grains, 2.8OAL of varget = 2690. I was actually going to shoot that exact same bullet today with 43.5 grains but the range was too packed to chrono it.
