    Case Mouth Dents

    Mandrel is the way to go. It also gives more consistent neck tension. Kinda sizing from the inside the neck if you will. Adds another step, but worth it. Some of us believe the expander ball pulls the shoulder out a little when it pulls back out.

    The weight and length of the can will change the harmonics of the barrel. That combination with the ammo doesnt make it happy. Try different ammo with different bullet

    Gunsmithing Barrel recontouring

    Ive been told by a very reputable barrele maker that you do not contour a barrel after it is rifled. Yes it can be done. But you run the risk of loosing accuracy. By the time you have it done, you could prob get a new barrel in the contour you desire.

    Why shoukd I buy an AMP annealer

    If you dont shoot much, then annealing shouldnt be a priority. I use my amp every firing on all my brass. 223, 6 dasher, and 6.5 SAUM. It gives me peace of mind i have taken all the steps i can to make the best ammo I can. So when i miss, its all on me.

    Annealing wrecked my groups

    Unless you are stainless steel tumbling, a coating of carbon is on the inside diameter of the neck. After annealing, it hardens and causes erratic tension. Despite the "neck tension" you desire, this changes with the condition of the neck surface.
