    HELP - high bullet runout

Re: HELP - high bullet runout It is probably your expander ball. Size a few cases without it and try the runout compared to the cases sized with an expander ball. You may need to get a mandrel to size the id. Forrester will hone your die for 10 bucks. You can have it honed to size just under...

Any benefits of tight bore barrels for reloaders?

Re: Any benefits of tight bore barrels for reloaders? Can any of you tell me if the 300gr .338 Scenar is .339 in diameter? I heard it was and was not sure if it would work in my barrel.

    Suppressors 762-SD vs. SCAR-H SD

Re: 762-SD vs. SCAR-H SD I have a SCAR-H on my AI-AW. It does not seem to leak enough to get anything on the scope. I like everything about it except the availability of extra adapters. You can see a puff out the back, but it is low pressure and as I said it does not get on the scope. I...

Large rifle primers in 45 acp

Re: Large rifle primers in 45 acp We did it all the time when the IPSC power factor was higher. Since they reduced it there is no need to do it. The only problem I had was with a Glock not hitting hard enough to reliably light them. A 1911 will work fine with WLR.

    223 80 grain sierra

Re: 223 80 grain sierra you would be past the ogive seated that deep. I would go with 2.350 or longer depending on your throat. You can safely run up to 25 of the Varget with that length, although you should start at 23 and work up. You are not going to get them to run through a mag if thats...

    Tricks to reducing run-out?

Re: Tricks to reducing run-out? It could be in the brass before the bullet is ever seated. Check the run out without a bullet seated. I have a old rcbs press that will induce a run out. You can try leaving the sizing die loose so it will float. That will usually work. If the problem is in...

    Dillon 650 Press help

Re: Dillon 650 Press help The Harrell's or the Neil Jones will work the best, but they will not screw into the Dillon adapter. I just used a bit of book binding or 100 mph tape to build up the area that threads down into the Dillon adapter. It works great. If you need pictures I can take...

    Dillon 650 Press help

Re: Dillon 650 Press help Polish the inside of the powder funnel, they are usually rough and will rust. If they have any rough surfaces they will cause the powder to bridge in the funnel. If you are not satisfied with the results you get with that you can use a Harrell's or similar Culver...

Re: RL550B Dillon press for .308 and 175 gr sierra I use a Harrell's on my 550 with the Dillon adapter. I get 1/10th accuracy with Varget and H-4064.
