Gunsmithing Xcaliber barrels
There's a reason HART barrels have been in business for almost 70 years. Every Hart I've owned has been a great shooter. Jack Sutton is a great guy to deal with too!. Its one of my go to barrel makers for top quality barrels.- spitfire_er

Gunsmithing 4-Jaw vs. Spider on the Spindle
If you look closely you can see the scribe lines on mine. I was between milling machines when I made this. So a bunch of careful measuring, and my sturdy old 1951 delta 17" drill press got my holes drilled to within a thou in every direction. Find an aluminum plate and make your own. I made this one for a shorter barrel I had to do. Not finished in the photo with the screws, but it works great and never slipped a barrel in it. I Got a 6mm blank from them when they were first getting going. Finally fit it about a year ago. It's a varmint/br rifle and a solid 3/8" rifle at 200 yards when I can do my part. Gunsmithing Will a clausing 4901 work?
Not sure if you bought this, but you won't be able to do anything other than a sporter barrel or a short barrel on this lathe. Spindle bow on these is close to 1", not larger. No clutch or brake on these smaller clausings. I have owned one of these, a 12" version and currently a 14x48"...- spitfire_er

Talk me out of getting a Forster Co-Ax, please!
I've use one for F-class reloading and I didn't notice any difference between it and ether a Rock Chucker or an old Redding T-25 (pre-cursor to the T-7). I think you would be better off especially just getting going in fine tuning your reloading practices, vs trying to rely on a reloading press...- spitfire_er
