    Any F1 racing fans?

Agreed! We were on the edge of our seats for the whole session. Great racing all through the pack. I guess the new regulations have actually made a step in the right direction. Love it!!

    Any F1 racing fans?

I attended a F1 race in Detroit back in the day, and back then you could buy a "photo pass" that let you in wherever the press photographers were allowed. I got some GREAT photos at that race! Then went to the first two Indy races. Went to two races in Phoenix too. All of them had great...

A friend of mine was able to attend the race on a general admission pass that was comped to him by his employer (a $1200 face value!!). He said it was the first time he'd ever attended a track on Friday and didn't want to go back for the rest of the weekend! He reported that the viewing areas...

And here's the McLaren from the top. Yet another take on the new formula....

    Any F1 racing fans?

I agree. A close, competitive season would be very welcome. Hope Russell gives Hammie a run for his money, and hope both Red Bulls are right in there. And if McLaren could keep stepping up, it could be really interesting!

Those were truly the days! Love those old cars. My favorite was Dan Gurney's Eagle. What a beautiful car. Then they started adding wings, and it all went downhill from there.

    Any F1 racing fans?

You, sir, are in lockstep with my own thoughts. I was a HUGE Prost fan, and never liked Senna or Schumacher. Yes, I acknowledge their talent, but just never liked their "style". Prost was one of those drivers who personafied the "slow is smooth - smooth is fast" mantra. He never looked like...

Sir Frank was a true giant in the sport. It's unfortunate that the team declined in recent years, but his legacy is still amazing. God bless him and his family.

    Any F1 racing fans?

I think a lot of fans get turned off anytime one team, and especially one driver, dominates a series for a long time. I got sick of Senna winning. I got sick of Schumacher winning. Now I'm sick of Crybaby winning. But what I'm really sick of is this sport, ALL sports, shoving the political...

    Any F1 racing fans?

I was really hoping Checo would catch Hammy for second. Maybe in a couple more laps he would have. Or not. Anyway, it was exciting to have that kind of competition at the end of the race. Looking forward to next year's cars. Many changes, hopefully for the better!

    Building the Perfect Reloading Room

I have Rocker T-tracks on my bench. There's a photo posted somewhere in this thread. I got the idea from other photos posted in this thread. Seems to work great. I really like it.

    Any F1 racing fans?

I wonder what it is that makes these super-talented drivers end up with the attitude that "I can do no wrong and if I can't beat them, I'll push them out of the way". It happened to Senna. It happened to Mike Schumacher. And now it's happened to Lewis. And for that reason I never was a fan...

    Any F1 racing fans?

Agreed. The new street circuits are not all that interesting to me. Even Baku, which is more interesting than most, is dull compared to some of the traditional "natural" racing circuits. The street circuits just don't have any character at all. Just all walls and fences and 90 degree...

    Any F1 racing fans?

Have you seen it lately? Lots more runoff area, lots more gravel. Barriers moved back. Billy Mitchell Bridge (and associated abutments) gone. It's a lot safer than back in the days when I was racing there. True enough about the pit/garage improvements that would have to be made, but the...

    Any F1 racing fans?

Spa is for sure my favorite track. I look forward to that race every year. For the most part, I like the traditional "natural" circuits - those laid out using natural terrain with some elevation change and nice scenery around. The newer tracks are, for the most part, too "sterile" for my...

This is the main reason I have quit reading most of Clancy's stuff. The books are just too danged long and spend too much time on minutia. The story could be told, very well, in about half the pages, which would make the reading easier and more enjoyable. If I want a bunch of technical...

    Any F1 racing fans?

I'm late with posting this. Like others, been busy. Really, really enjoyed this race. Especially the "chase" at the end, with Max getting closer and closer, and then making the pass. VERY happy to see him get the win! I agree about the blue stripes. WAY too much! I wonder how it looks...

I've been pondering that same question. Without Remorse is excellent. I'd love to get a heads-up on Rainbow Six.
