Thanks for the replies. I knew I would have to re-zero the glass I just did not expect 2.5 mils @ 100 yards. To me that seems like a shitload. I figured it would be somewhere around .5 mils. IDK I do not do this type of work everyday so maybe that kind of change is common.

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

OK so today I took my stock barrel off and re-installed it. I have a shop with a bench and nice vice but I am losing it. I have read multiple horror stories about how hard it was to removed the factory barrel. I figured while I still have the shop I will break it down so when I do replace the...

Look at what was available for factory ammo when these rifles were released. Also, if you need to compress the firing pin spring because the tool popped out an empty cartridge works great.

I have about 1500 round through my 6.5. I shot about 150 rounds through it and cleaned the bore, including decoppering it. After that I have been cleaning the bore using Pro7, just removing the carbon. I do not always clean it after shooting it. I cleaned the bore out, including decoppering...

    Mcree's Precision 10/22 Review

His description on his site states "Forearm: +/- 14 1/4 inches long, McRee UNS and MLOK ready" But when I look at the pics I am not seeing M-LOK slots in the forearm. For you guys that have the stock, does yours have the slots for M-LOK attachment?

From what I have seen White Oak has two barrel lines for the RPR. One is $370 and I did not see them list whose blank they use. The other line uses Krieger blanks and it $520. When you guys are posting results which barrel are you talking about?

I wonder if they have any plans to release a .22 version for a trainer. Hopefully at a much lower price.

    Gunsmithing Pre-Cerakote Degreasing

I was at my buddies body shop the other day and we were talking about wiping down the parts before spraying. He said he found 3812 enamel reducer to be the best. He has tried a lot of stuff over the years. He will wipe some parts down with whatever new thing he is trying. Afterwards he will do...

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

I have a Gen1 and found the trigger a little heavier than I wanted. After seeing someone on the internet had cut a few coils off the spring I did the same. It felt great and measured out a 1 pound. It was THE best factory trigger I have used. I installed MPA EVG and noticed some creep in the...

A question for those that have swapped out their barrel. What did you use for a toque spec an where did you come up with that number?

    Gunsmithing torque wrench

I posted my experience and Kortik was a dick about it and got called out on it. Instead of owning up to it and maybe said hey guys I learned something here, he wanted to win the internet by talking about production line work by big companies.

    Gunsmithing torque wrench

In another life I was a mechanic full time and still have all my tools. I have a torque screwdriver that goes from 5-35 in lbs that I use to torque the rings. I have another torque wrench that goes from 30-205 in lbs that I use to torque the mount to the rail. I was always taught to step...
