    They are a good mil-spec manufacturer. They make excellent BCGs and charging handles, and have a very nice quality upper. One of the better mil-spec companies to deal with. Not who I would use for a precision build, but for a fighting gun they are just fine.

Cheaper is less subjective. $33 for GMM in .308 is more than $26 for Hornady 140 AMAX Creed. And if you reload, then I would say that it depends on what brass you use for the .308...

    I would also think that trying again focusing on the 44.2-44.6 looks good. Load up some rounds of each in that range and see which one shoots the best. That looks like the window with the most promise.

    And to throw a kink in there, have you ever looked through a Aimpoint T1? I am a fan of the EXPS2, as a friend shoots with it, but I like the 2MOA T1 a tad more. I think that you could get it quite low with one of the many mounts out there, if you wanted to. No experience with the Docter.

    It was on the Hide here and both S&B and Premier reps commented. Premier used to make the Gen II XR reticle for S&B, but doesn't any longer.
