Rifle Scopes What Leupold turrets are these?

M1 knobs. Not bad but I like the m3 personally. That's if I had to choose a Leopold though. I can't afford to pay with their more modern stuff.still good scopes though.

Rifle Scopes Oculus scope Has anyone heard of them

In that price range I would pick up a used or closeout viper 6.5-20. Not a perfect scope by any means but I'm betting it's still way better than any house brand big box store scope. The eye box gets kind of right near max magnification, but is clear, repeatable, has a great warranty. Oh and you...

Thoughts on standard/non-adjustable McMillan A5 stock?

Cdi precision bottom metal fits the factory inlet if I'm not mistaken. Skim bedding is not that difficult to do yourself. If you like the stock, buy it. You can add a saddle cheek piece yourself as well.

Rifle Scopes Optics advise for 300wm (tight on budget)

Talk about overkill as previously stated. I would just move your weaver over to it. Are you guys able to reload your own ammo up there? If so, that help greatly with ammo costs for that beast.

Sidearms & Scatterguns "The Gadget" prototype...

Thank you for clarifying. I misread it I reckon. I get it now...

I think my favorite .222 700VS is shot out...what would you build?

Then why deny the dark side? Join the .223 legion...our go the ai flavor of it?

Rifle Scopes Swift Optics - Any good?

    Fieldcraft Panama soles and tracking/tracks

If they are the traditional Panama sole, they are great. Only place I've found them to get clogged up is good'ol Georgia clay. They flex well, rarely clog, dig in great, can leave a different print. Make no mistake though, they are still there. And if you're being pursued, watch out for the...

    Gunsmithing Barrel Fluting!

You'll get mixed opinions of the subject. It can make a subtle difference in weight, balance. And yes they look good.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns woods knife

Those look great. Both for knife and bow.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Rock Island M 200

I'm sure it works just fine. I prefer old beat up model 10s, personally but ria makes decent guns with a great warranty.

Sidearms & Scatterguns "The Gadget" prototype...

Novel idea. Not for me though. I was a bit perplexed in the link though. I've never met anyone who naturally lowered the hammer on their pistol to reholster. I do hope he sells a bunch of them though. It's a clever concept with good looking execution.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1000 Yard Shot with 9MM

Wow. I thought he was actually going to hit the balloon instead of the shattering bullet fragments. Impressive that he still hit the steel though. Wonder why 147 instead of 124?

Hope I made the right choice....build thread

You should be happy with it. Only thing I would change is send it to cdi for his bottom metal. Aics type mags are better and cheaper than fn mags. If you've got the fixed floor plate model, like it, all is well. They shoot better than most people can.

I think my favorite .222 700VS is shot out...what would you build?

Just get it re barreled in 222 with a 1/12 twist. Why change since you love the round so much? Different is cool... and that is a killer round! Used to have a contender pistol in that caliber. It was a serious shooter. To play devils advocate, 223 is everything the 222 is and more. Dies are a1...

Accuracy of relitavly new savage not that good

Could be a rough spot in bore causing the copper fouling. Order up some bore paste, some match ammo. Those rounds that you tried already should have given at least 1-1.5moa. Have you gone over the mounting hardware and action bolts?

Accuracy of relitavly new savage not that good

Clean it for starters. Yes it should shoot a Heck of a lot better than a nagant! What caliber, what ammo? Check bolts to make sure they are required properly. Check scope mount, rings and scope. What gear are you using?

Building a new long range LR-308 - 1000 yard gun

Ah yes the wallet rape issue. Performance costs man. Given what those long, light bullets allow in a shorter tube, it's worth the price of admission to many people, myself included.
