Well I got out with the XDS on Friday afternoon. Great gun. I put 150 rounds thru it with no issues at all. Shoots poa poi at 10 yards, groups well and functions 100%. I found the recoil to be not bad at all. Keeper. Mike- mikemcg9mm

Ruger American Rifle .308
I bought one last year in 308 as a back up hunting rifle. Its a good, well built gun. It gets 1 moa with three shot groups and 1.5 moa with 5 shot groups, with my 150 handloads. The firing pin safety on the kimber is operated when the grip safety is engauged not when the trigger is pulled like on a colt series 70. I would just call Kimber, tell them whats up and ask for them to email you a shipping label and have them repair it for you. Research on the 1911 forum...- mikemcg9mm

Sidearms & Scatterguns 9mm recommendation
I had an EMP 9mm a couple years ago, it was a good gun, reliable and accurate. I think the initial reliability issues were with the 40's. If you like the 1911 platform and want a 9mm the EMP would be a good one.- mikemcg9mm
