    TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads

Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads I just checked mine with my borescope for you guys and it is ok. It has the usual minor machining marks, but no grooves. Can you guys post some close up photos of your fired cases?

    TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads

Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads I've seen folks mention it (Varget and the 139/140s) and some of them having very good results. I don't have any plans to try it myself as I have a good supply of slower powders for the 140s.

    TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads

Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads LW, I was shooting the newer 123's that were designed for the Creedmore. That may have something to do with the difference in groups between you and I. Also, it may be because I was using a different powder and found a sweet spot.

best/easiest .260 barrel switch for Tikka?

Re: best/easiest .260 barrel switch for Tikka? I had Lilja do a custom Tikka M595 barrel contour some years back for my .20 Practical project that fits into the factory stock perfectly. I am not 100% sure, but the newer T3 models have a very similar, if not the same, contour. Here is a link...

    what are these called?

Re: what are these called? They came standard on my new TRG-22 in .260 Rem. And they don't seem to pop out like something that would be in a flush cup.

    Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads Here's some more N160/140 A-MAX data and some preliminary Varget data with the 123 A-MAX's. I shot three, 3 shot groups at 100 yds using virgin Lapua .260 cases: 3 shots 44 gr. N160 140 Amax: 2672 fps 3 shots 44.5 gr. N160 140 Amax: 2713 fps 3 shots 45 gr...

    TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads

Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads I took my .260 out today for the first time. My only goal was to find an upper range of N160 that I could use with the 140 Amax. I went all the way to 43.5 and can still go higher. Here are some N160 numbers. The first seven shots were with virgin necked down Win...

Sako TRG-22 Receiver Rail Mounting Screw Size?

Re: Sako TRG-22 Receiver Rail Mounting Screw Size? Thanks Mark. I had EO remove the rail before they delievered the rifle. I substituted the rail for a factory 3 ring mount but they sent the wrong height, hence my dilema. The correct mount is on its way and in the interim I was looking at...

    SAKO TRG FOLDER QUESTION??

Re: SAKO TRG FOLDER QUESTION?? Rem pre-fit makes absolute sense. It is just the Remington name stamped on the pad I didn't care for. You should stick a clean Limbsaver on it quick and retake the photos. Little things like this will affect sales I would imagine.

    TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads

Re: TRG-22 in .260 Rem loads Yeah, when you mentioned the chuck at the range I got a good chuckle out of it. I will tell you that the Lapua .260 cases I have measured are so darned consistent in the necks it is scary. I used my ball mic and kept going around case after case and all I kept...

Sako TRG-22 Receiver Rail Mounting Screw Size?

Re: Sako TRG-22 Receiver Rail Mounting Screw Size? I appreciate the offer Mark, but I should be able to find some locally hopefully. Also, I doubt the screw head diameter of your factory Picatinny base screws would fit into the countersunk holes of the Talleys. If you get the chance and have...

    SAKO TRG FOLDER QUESTION??

Re: SAKO TRG FOLDER QUESTION?? All I have to say is the KRG has to loose that Remington stamped recoil pad in the photos I have seen. That is blasphemy to put anything saying "Remington" on a TRG. It immediately caught my eye and detracted from an otherwise good looking stock.
