    +1 Good point.

    Remington 700 SPS M40

I like the 1" pad on it, and also, I'm a fan of NOT cutting the barrel. This is a really nice rifle you ended up with in this project. Cosmetically, I would have to look closely to see the major differences between your rifle and the Mawhinney rifle. I would love to read your range report when...

R700 7mm rem mag Sendero Accuracy Issues

It's been a while, but my load was with 4831sc pushing the Hornady 162gr AMax. It was a few years ago, but that was the best load for me; usually 1/2 MOA on my Sendero. Glad you got your group size down, and began working with one aspect of the reloading at a time. Good luck and enjoy as the 7mm...

Discontinuing production of the Savage FCP-SR Model 10

So there is no real clear-cut answer? I finally found one on GB, and am thankful. This seemed like it would be a great seller for Savage, so wondering what the reasoning was.

    Savage 10TR 24" .308

Nice! I don't find the "TR" on Savage's website. What is the product number? Thanks, and again, nice rig. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it this Spring and Summer.

Quantico 12-13 April 2014 Vintage Precision Rifle Match

So if someone with a 1903-a4 rifle but with a scope from that period but not necessarily the one used in WWII such as the Weaver kb4 then They could still shoot, but in a separate class? Am I understanding you correctly?

Anyone used 168 gr Hornady Match BTHPs in their '03?

I get, now, that you meant 46.5 NOT 26.5.. LOL! Good thread, and may have to see about some of these bullets.

Quantico 12-13 April 2014 Vintage Precision Rifle Match

Thanks for posting the pics. I enjoyed looking at them. It seems that my understanding of what would be allowed was not what was actually allowed. I saw a lot of rifles that seemed to have scopes on them that weren't on the original issue rifles, or rifles that were way more modern, or highly...

Savage 10 vs Remington 700 SR

Both offer a way to do what you are wanting. IMO, however, WHEN you go to re-sell the rifle, for some reason, Remington rifles seem to hold their value better. I've owned BOTH, and I've SOLD both, so I'm talking from experience. I know there are people on here who would "never by a Remy over a...

    remington 700 7mm sendero

When I had my Sendero in 7mm Rem Mag, I liked the 162gr Hornady A-Max. I had scope date out to 1500 yards with it. I LOVED that gun. :D

    700 5r tact setup

I'd see about Badger's dbm system as well. They are pretty strong, and add a lot of versatility to your setup, IMO.

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

That's a sweet rig! What is the twist rate? What bullets are you running out of it? Speed? My dad just got rid of his .243 with a 16" barrel, and I'm kind of wishing I'd bought it. I'm quite curious about rifles like this. Thanks for sharing.
