    How has body armor changed prone rifle technique?

    I've heard that young soldiers at Ft. Benning are being taught a tripod, elbows and magazine with legs spread straight out instead of leg being drawn up. Also has the use of the sling as a stablizing unit been emphasized lately.

    Re: Range time Great shooting Chris. Reminds me of my day's shooting at Erlangen in the winter getting ready for the NATO matches. I'm spoiled in Arizona now but plan to travel to South Dakota next year in the winter just so I can appreciate the desert again.
