Is Lapua Brass a waste of money for an AR-15?

Re: Is Lapua Brass a waste of money for an AR-15? You might consider buying Lapua brass for an AR a little excessive if your intention is plinking ammo and shooting thousands of rounds. That being said, buying Lapua brass is never a waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

Suppressors Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens

Re: Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens I'm not trying to say that everyone who had a lawyer write their trust wasted a bunch of money. I just want to know what someone has to worry about later on if they write their own and it gets approved. All I'm hearing from the guys with lawyers...

Suppressors Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens

Re: Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens What I'm asking is what's wrong with the Quicken version if the ATF is approving them? Who's going after these trusts? Obviously there have been people that have got their class 3 items transferred this way. I guess I'm missing the part where the...

Suppressors Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens

Re: Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens I was going to use Quicken but now everyone has me worried and I'm leaning towards having a lawyer write it up. What needs to be added that Quicken leaves out? Does anyone know anybody or heard of someone that set one up themselves and had the...

Re: Living Trusts - Examples and Specimens If TxShooter63 can create his own and have the ATF approve it, then what is the problem and what are people worried about that they have to have a lawyer write it up. Are they afraid the ATF or state will disapprove of it later or can they even do...

Gunsmithing Desert Tactical SRS Trigger Adjustment Help

Re: Desert Tactical SRS Trigger Adjustment Help There are three screws you can adjust. The one on the side of the trigger is for position and the other two you access through the holes in the bottom of the trigger guard are for creep and weight adjustment. I just looked at the manual on...

    Scenars for hunting

Re: Scenars for hunting Scenars work great for hunting. 2 years ago I shot a doe through the vitals with 250 gr. Sierra Gameking and the exit hole was the same size as the entrance hole. Decided to try using 300 gr. scenars and shot a buck with them through the vitals and the exit hole was...

    Question re Sinclair Priming Tool

Re: Question re Sinclair Priming Tool I guess I only turned the rod inside the handle on one of mine when it needed quite a bit of adjustment. Otherwise it didn't really matter to me where the opening on the shell holder was but I could have sworn that I fine tuned the depth by removing a...

    1426 yard deer

Re: 1426 yard deer First of all to the OP, great shot! Now there's no such thing as a 100% confident shot when it comes to hunting. Whether you're 50 yds or 1000 yds away and have shot thousands of rounds from that setup there are always other factors involved. It always seems like...

338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar

Re: 338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar If you want to stick with Vihtavouri powders I'd give N170 a try. I'm running 91.0 grains with 300 scenars and it's slightly compressed. I don't have access to my reloading notebook right now but if I remember right it's around 2650 fps (808 ms)...

338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar

Re: 338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar I'd ask if the place you get 560 from could get you some 570. N560 is faster burning than H1000 so you'll probably encounter the same problem. 300 grainers like the slow powders from my experience. http://www.hodgdon.com/burn-rate.html...

338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar

Re: 338 LM with N560 and 300 grain Lapua Scenar I don't have any experience with N560 but I shoot N170 with 300 gr scenars and really like it. The only problem is finding it. If you want to use the 500 series I'd go with 570 over 560 for the 300 gr. bullets. You won't come anywhere close to a...

    I have pudding face!!!

Re: I have pudding face!!! I've used the barrel break-in method on a couple rifles but realized that it sucked spending most of the afternoon at the range and barely getting 10 rounds off. Not anymore. If you'd rather spend your time cleaning versus shooting then by all means break it in and...
