Rifle Competition Events NRL Hunter Heartland Harvester AAR

Great job on the write up KJ. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and all the stage that were set up for this. I will say that having LRF binos I might have had another 8-10 points because I used a lot of time changing between binos and LRF even though they were mounted on the same plate and...

    Sub $2000 hunting scope

@Cccook8 Decent options above. Another one to look at for comparison would be the Maven RS.3 scope. It is in the 27oz range and has 5-30X zoom. The zero stop isnt the best as an external locking ring like a reloading die, but works well enough. I have tested it for return to zero and tracking...

Rifle Competition Events Steel Safari 2021

At request, photo of my kit. I don't recommend running this for a shooter new to the venue. Get a bino LRF or buy my Steiner 10x50 LRF so I can get the Sig's or Vortex. Steel Safari is pretty laid back. You will carry your kit about 3 miles every day and won't have a chance to just pop back...

    New member from Wyoming

Happy to answer questions. I will be trying to run the Laramie Rifle Rodeo monthly. There is a NRL Hunter match planned at this location as @Tactical Taz indicated.

Kraft Data part 2 (stress number)

12 second average par. I was being lazy as I was by myself and didn't want to start stop the timer so just used a 144 second total par time. Finished in 138sec for all 12 rounds. Did it with two different Rifles as labeled in photos.

Kraft Data Driven Training: Try This

Ran this again today with some time to challenge myself. Set a 144second par assuming average of 12 seconds per shot. Knowing the targets are 3" tip to tip for the number 3 diamond I am keeping everything inside a 3moa group under stress (program calculates 2.1 moa but that would have only had...

Kraft Data Driven Training: Try This

I had noticed the same thing when I was shooting, Frank. I havent had a chance to get back to the range but wondered if based on this aggregate data from multiple positions if I should adjust my zero just as you described. If I get time, I would like to see what this does at more distance to the...

Kraft Data Driven Training: Try This

Chris Way #kraftdata I ran the Kraft data challenge today with two different Rifles. My 25Creedmoor and my 223rem trainer. I used a mini GC hybrid for all positions and that was the only bag or support used. What I found was that sitting was the most difficult position for me. I used a folding...

We need a new PRS/NRL backpack.

@LRRPF52 Super impressive. Really clean work. Both of those look great. Care to start a PM and I can pick your brain about some of your stitching and technique? I am always looking to learn so I can make my gear better.

    Soft Ammo Carrier

I was testing it the other day, if you only open up the top half of the zipper even when attached vertical, brass doesnt spill out and you can add more to it.

We need a new PRS/NRL backpack.

I promise, I am working on trying to fulfill your big highlights with my new Tilpasse backpack through Fehu Outdoors. Aside from a scabbard to carry the rifle. It will do what you are asking and more. The intent was to be a day pack that you can load up with all the essentials for a 2-day match...

    Soft Ammo Carrier

I have them up on the website now. I have been using one of the brass/ammo bags for my loaded ammo still and then the all mesh bag is nice as I can just have anyone who picks up my brass toss it in the bag on my pack while my hands are still full.

    New match backpack

They are on there. This v1.0 pack actually used a backboard with a detachable gun belt for carrying a pistol holster. The V2.0 will be many more of a day pack and have just a simple waist belt but definitely included a sternum clip.

    New match backpack

As Fehu Outdoors I have been working on building a modular match backpack. So far this is the prototype I have built myself. I will be working on a V2.0 in the next month and will have a few available to purchase before March 21. No definite set price yet but expect something around $350 with...

    Rifle Scopes Maven RS4- new

I dont have a lot of time behind the SKMR3 but used the SKMR for years in competition. To me the big thing that was lacking was the 0.2 mil holds on the vertical and having a bit more open space between bars to make better calls when spotting for someone else. For the most part, I dont find we...

    Rifle Scopes Maven RS4- new

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I had a fair bit of time spent coming up with that reticle design and for use in competition is has been serving really well.
