    While that is true I was recently looking for a .300NM for the AXMC and nobody has one in stock. The popularity of the SA prefits that they sell seems to be directly proportionate to fact that they're cheap and available all through the kung flu plandemic.

    I've owned a couple. Still have a LA Stevens 200 that I play with occasionally. It's in a Stockade stock, Rifle Basix trigger, Rock Creek prefit. But I wouldn't buy one today. If you want to use prefits, just get a Nucleus or Origin action. IMO, Savage had a golden opportunity a few years...

    Maybe it's the "buy our pistol barrels" sale before braces are banned? IIRC, I was in a class in 2014 and a guy broke out a braced Sig I think. And they had been around for maybe 6 months or so then? I have one and I feel like I've been waiting for the hammer to drop the entire time.

    Where did you hear this? People can't even hardly duplicate Mk262 ammo at 2750 in Mk12 clones without crimped primers. That factory offering is pushing that bullet over 2900 and 3k is easy to attain with 80 grain bullets when reloading. Barrel life is not an issue with a Valkyrie.

    You could run the higher rings as I saw a Cross last weekend and it has an adjustable cheek piece, right? I can tell you that I've run the 1.26" rings on Ruger Americans and since they have tapered, fairly thin barrels the scope is quite high.
