Sig Sauer SSG3000 Chassis?? Owners or future owners would you like to have one?

I spoke with kelblys at the beginning of the month. Pricing and availability of the GRS was supposed to be end of Sept ( now). Haven't followed up though.

    New from Ohio

Gotcha, I was down Saturday. Pretty busy compared to what it normally is. I can't wait for next year to hit some more HH shoots. Learned more about my rifle in 20 rounds than I had in a whole day of open range.

    New from Ohio

I'm up north of Columbus about 50 minutes. Shoot TVP pretty regularly. Mostly open ranges, but have hit a few headhunter shoots. Those are a blast.

Awesome. I'm heading towards the Southern Bighorns next fall.

Any Marlin model 60 Owners in here?

I grew up with those rifles. Still have the one I used as a kid. This is the latest one I picked up (I know not a 60). Model M2. Darn near perfect condition.

    Sig SSG 3000 Patrol 18"

I've got the 24" 3000, absolutely love the rifle. I actually picked it up back in October of 2013. I'm running 168g Hornady BTHP. Send rounds out to 1000 regularly and don't have much trouble connecting. Anything under 600 yards is boring. Here's a groundhog I thumped this summer at 535...

    Ssg 3000

Cool, I've found 600 yards to be boring as well. Start shooting clay pigeons then it gets more interesting. :)

    Ssg 3000

The only issue has been when shooting steel matches in weird positions. The recoil of the rifle was such that the cheek piece would collapse as a result of my head being rested against it. It's a two button detent, squeeze both buttons and it'll move up and down. Or, put a fair amount of force...

    Ssg 3000

Yeah that's what I thought too, around $1500-$1700 off a brand new rifle. I'd buy a lottery ticket if I were him too.

    Ssg 3000

Spare mags will make you puke, $80-90 a piece. I bought one just to have on hand.

    Ssg 3000

Well you made out then, that's dirt cheap for that rig. The US versions are going for $1,399 in stores.

    Ssg 3000

Ssg 3000 Also I shoot 168's out of mine to 1000 with no issues.

    Ssg 3000

For $1,300 that is the steal of the century even if it's been fired. You're sure it's not the US version? Even the US ones have German barrels on them

    Thunder Valley Precision 2014 Schedule

I might try to make it to shoot the short course. I ran down last weekend and went through a couple of my hunting rifles before we go out west. I'm thinking I shot with a few of you on the last couple of head hunter shoots based on your usernames. I was shooting the Sig .308... I've done...

    Ssg 3000

I can't speak to the German version, I've got the US one. By far one of the most accurate rifles I've ever used, from busting groundhogs at long range to shooting steel matches this gun has been phenomenal. The only thing I don't like, which you won't have to deal with on the McMillan stock is...

Tikka T3 Tac vs. SIG SSG 3000

I have the US version of the SSG 3000, gun shoots great and although I've not pushed it out truly long range I was smacking steel at 525 yards right after I installed the new scope. I've not found anything lacking on the stock, although its a deal breaker for many for whatever reason. Sure...
