    You're gonna end with 26" finished length. The smith will cut 1" off to remove the flared end cause by lapping the barrel. I have 25" in mine and I can push the 130 over 2900 fps.

    You're going to love this cartridge. Although it was originally designed for 300 meter competition it will perform superbly at 1K.

    Yep! The 2 - 25 shot group above was shot with different load. One at 2912 fps with 41.3 grains of H 4350 and another with 40.5 grains with another lot of powder at 2875 fps. No OCW/Ladder mumbo jumbo.

    I'm waiting for a high ring from my smith. His medium ring barely cleared the 58" objective of my USO. I think I have 1/16" clearance between the scope objective and the barrel.

    For me both is a total waste of barrel life, powder and bullet. I usually found my load with as little as 15 to 20 rounds. Now this is just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

    I haven't had any issue with stuck case after I started using Imperial wax. And that includes full length sizing 338 Lapua Improved with almost no taper.
