    I have the Surgeon Bottoms with AI mag for 308. It will feed from the magazine but once in a while it will throw brass back into the chamber during extraction. I might install a Sako extractor and see if that will solve the problem.

    Went to see my smith friend and I found this hanging on the wall in his shop. One of his customer brought the target to show him the result from his 6.5 BR shooting the 140 grain Berger VLD. Never seen one like it.

    My 308 Winchester at 100 meters. 10 shot group using the wobbly Versa-Pod Bipod. 3 shot group each with two types of powder and 4 different powder weight.

    If you're confident with your ability, then the only thing left is the equipment. What kind of scope you have on that rifle. A braked 338 Lapua need a robust scope.

    Gunsmithing Trigger 40X issue in 700 PSS

    I have an older late 60 early 70 vintage 40XB Remington. The trigger consistently pull at 12 ounces. I have the newer 40X trigger in my 308 and I cannot get it to pull below 1.5 lb. I think the older 40X trigger is slightly different than the new one.
