Anyone has Expierences shooting 75Gr AMAX Bullet out of a Tikka T3 .223 Magazine???

AICS mags are plenty roomy to get to the lands Factory mag must be lengthened. Not that big of deal. Plenty of write ups online. Also tikka preformance makes a bobsled for the factory mag to make single loading easier.

Gunsmithing Converting a TRG 42 338 to 300 win mag

Yup easy. Rebarrel, mags, and bolt. The bolt will be the hardest and most costly piece of the puzzle. Brownells does carry the correct bolt for the conversion but list it out of stock and with sako taking a break from making the trg 42 in 300 wm getting your hands on one may be easier said than...

    Long T3 action screws

Anybody have a source on a set on long T3 action screws? I put a trg trigger in my T3 and the trigger rubbed on the trigger guard. Made a couple washers and put them between the stock and trigger guard and trigger works great. Now I only have a turn and a half on my action screws. Gun is 223 so...

    Sling Suggestion for TRG 22

With a trg you have attachment options. Hk hooks, mash hooks or flush cups. Hk hooks and mash hooks will work without any additional adapters. Mash hooks are only available through triad tactical, I believe. With flush cups you need an adapter for the front attachment point. I believe krg...

Gunsmithing Different ways to indicate and thread/chamber a barrel

I have indicated and chambered barrels in before using an outboard spider and the tapered rod with bushing. I understand that process. When using just a long stylus indicator and indication at the throat what do you use to support the muzzle end of the barrel? Outboard spider with the OD of...

    Tumbling with shot peening media

I tried. It was a horrible failure. It was way to heavy for my homemade tumbler. Burned the bearing and caught the wood frame on fire.

    tikka t3 hinged floorplate

You have to run a DBM with the tikkas. Because they only make 1 action with different bolts and bolt stops. They rely on the mag to do the feeding work and do not maching the feed lips in the bottom of the action.

Tikka T3 Varmint no longer sold in the US?

Varmint, super varmint and scout are all still produced by tikka but not imported by berettausa.

    Desperately seeking Varget.

Try LEVERevolution. Easy to find. A local guy uses it and likes it and also saw a post on accurate shooter about it. No first hand knowledge but I bought a pound to try once I am out of varget.

    All new TRG

Re: All new TRG I spoke with an engineer from sako in the spring of 2012. He told me they had LE/MIL contracts through mid 2013 at the time. So whether business has increased or if beretta usa is the wrench in the gears I don't know. While I don't agree with what beretta usa imports they are...

    All new TRG

Re: All new TRG Has anybody heard of availability timeline for these into the civilian market? Buddy is a Beretta USA rep and he was told "Not before 2015, if ever." Just wondering if anybody can confirm.

How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector? Kriss support was bad at best. There were lots of problems. Long repair times, not answering phones, not returning messages for status check. I will say the only good from their CS dept was they always paid shipping which is not the norm when...

How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector?

Re: How much would you pay for a Kriss Vector? Would never buy one. Worked at a place that had a full auto rental and sold several semiauto to customers. Full auto never ran right and the problems we had with the semiauto KRISS CS was nonexistent.

    brass ribs on expander ball

I tore my dies apart today to clean. My expander balls all have brass ribs on them. I clean them when I get them and lightly coat with imperial wax. Why is the brass still sticking? Scrubbed with OOOO steel wool and it knocked most off but it will still catch your thumb nail. Dies are redding...
