Stolen Rifle in Portland, OR, July 26/27 2013 (Defiance, Vortex, Mcree, 6SLR)

Do I dare ask why you would assume no insurance? Would you assume that if it was insured for 100% replacement he or I wouldn't care enough to at least try recovering it? And you'd be surprised how little most renter's insurance will truly cover as far as guns go, especially cheap renter's...

    S&W M&P 15-22 Review

I won one of these in the Oregon Sniper Challenge a few years ago. S&W even let me upgrade to the threaded model without charging. I tried to at least pay for shipping but they wouldn't hear it. I've put a few mags threw it but it has been neglected since. I need to put optics on it and shoot it.

Stolen Rifle in Portland, OR, July 26/27 2013 (Defiance, Vortex, Mcree, 6SLR)

Stolen out of vehicle at his house. Yes he knows leaving it int he rig wasn't wise, just hoping it's a lesson learned without total loss of everything in the end.

remington sps tactical sudden overpressure symptoms

Long story short, my rifle was same as yours, similar loads, using Win brass. Rifle was a tack driver, always did awesome, went to Kettle Falls last year, cleaned my rifle in the hotel room the night before, the next day I couldn't hit shit. Figured it was just me having a bad day since it is a...

remington sps tactical sudden overpressure symptoms

Tag for later at home. How many rounds through it? My sps tact was done at 1500ish rounds with 175's and 45gr varget. This thing was a tack driver, held its own amongst all the match rifles around me. All of a sudden wouldn't shoot good. Throwing rounds. Split necks on brass. We tried many...

    Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

My son's Savage started developing surface rust a few weeks after we got it as a brand new rifle. Since he is gone for the weekend figured I'd take care of that problem for him.

    Proud of my pops!!!

Always proud of him for numerous reasons but here is just another. They did the whole ceremony at the state convention last month. My son and I drove to it for the weekend as did my brother, his wife, and kids. My dad's brothers and sisters were there already as they are all either in the VFW or...

Help me wrap my head around this, barometric pressure, Shooter for Android....

Ok, so I understand the difference between absolute/station pressure and adjust sea level pressure. I understand if using the Shooter app and I pull station pressure from a Kestrel or my Phone (Samsung Galaxy S3, which is dead on tits in reporting the pressure) that I check the absolute box...

This is how it is done... (I just have to brag)

But it's true. Witness one case failure or any accident involving the eyes and you'll feel the same. I'm pretty strict on the glasses thing for that reason. They are so simple and so effective just in case. Aside from that, awesome shooting! I can't shoot groups like that consistently. Good job!

So here is a new idea on shooting groups...

This thread has provided more feedback than I expected. For starters, my intended shooting is not at paper but at steel out to distance. That being said, I like to use paper simply to build confidence in the rifle. To me if you can shoot small groups on paper it is a great confidence builder...

Show me your tan duracoated guns!

Ha, let's just say there is an incredible difference between what I had to give for it and what it costs to purchase one today. It is an impressive piece of glass. Everyone who looks through it comments on the clarity. It is one of, if not the clearest scopes I've ever looked through. This is...

Thank you. It is a Premier Heritage 3-15x50 + sunshade/ARD honeycomb in Seekins rings. This scope came from Scott/Liberty Optics way back when he was still slinging them. Hell of a guy.

So here is a new idea on shooting groups...

I know everyone like to post their top notch made with unicorn tears groups to show that their rifle can do, I get it, I've done it. What I'd like to see are some same day same session multiple group sheets. What I'd love to see is 5 groups of 5 rounds each at 300 yards or greater. Not the best...
