    Is there a market for Berdan brass

    I would try to reload berdan brass as a last ditch shtf. Primers are availabe but finding the right ones for the brass you have is poke and hope. Others have drilled holes and made bushing so they can use small boxer primers. This would increase the chance of primer blow out.

    Mosin Nagant 24" barrel and target crown ?

    Personaly I would leave the Mosin alone keep it the way it is. Mosin's for the most part shoot fine the way they are,they are a piece of history and I hate to see them cut up. Remember they are the guns that stopped the Germans in Stalingrad.

    Storing Rifle for Extended Period of Time?

    For 3 months Rem oil should work. I have many rifles and do this for my short term storage. But for my long term storage I use. 20-50w motor oil or cosmoline.

    Agreed,both Remington and Savage make some good rifles and they both have there share of problems too. But its Christmas quit the whining,and crying about it. Let's take time to remember what Christmas is really all about. Ps: I own both Savages and Remingtons and I don't complain about either.

    Started my son out on the same gun I started on a Winchester 22 bolt action at 5yrs old. I bought him his own S&W M&P 15-22 last Cristmas at age 7. Now this year he wants a Savage MKII heavy barrel to add to his collection.

    93-95 remington 700 adl

    I buy cheap long actions all the time,they make a good base to start from. Remington or Savage makes no difference to me. In fact I just bought a Remington 700 ADL in 30-06 that I swear has less than 20rds down the tube for $275 this will be a great doner action.
