    Tell me if this is a good starting day to figure out which charge weight is best. Remington 700 in .308 in AICS. 26" Varmint barrel, 1:12 twist. Action has not been trued or re-barreled. Once fired FGMM brass not put through a tumbler or anything, thats on my list and I'll have it before...

    Every time I see this thread I smile, I love the .308 and think it is underrated. I can't wait to hit that 1k yard shot and beyond. My rifle is finally together, and I am starting to make my hand loads soon. It won't be long now. :-)

    What do you guys think of this method of bullet seating depth? Bullet Seating Depth Method - YouTube I just picked up a Sinclair comparator body with Sinclair .308 comparator insert, and a Stoney Point headspace gage. Also got a set of feeler gauges.

    Re: I need some suggestions on equipment... Just purchased a My Weigh iBalance 101. Accurate to 0.005g or 0.1gn. My Weigh said this scale handles trickling powder better than the Gem Pro 250. It also comes with a draft shield, which is nice.
