    Browguard!!! Best invention ever!

Sad thing is, I let my buddy shoot my rifle... I asked him what he was doing... he said "I got it" so I stood by and watched him. He pulls the trigger and the scope goes right into his eyebrow/forehead right on his nice fresh sunburn he had... I just took the rifle afterwards and said that's a...

Rifle Scopes Scope on a tight budget

If you're looking for a scope right now and set at that price I like the SWFA SS 5-20x50 HD in mil/mil as well... bonus thing about it is all that travel which would really help on long distance... plus it loves high caliber magnums...

Rifle Scopes Zeroing a scope - does anyone use the following method?

Usually I just go to 25 yards, shoot once, dial it to where it's shooting .5 mil under (mil/mil-quad), then go to 75 to check drop, then set up at my normal position of 150yd where I normally shoot at home.

Rifle Scopes Scope Mount with MOA Question

This is true.... but it really depends on the scope... I've seen a few scopes once you get to the edge of the adjustment it's a little rougher to see clearly, so sure the 20 should work fine for what he needs... if he were planning on changing scopes in the future with a lower adjustment, then...

I'm till wanting to shoot, but need to keep pain to a minimum.

.204 Ruger is an amazing little cartridge, just get a limbsaver/whatever you're comfortable with, and a well made tactical/side port brake to help with any recoil, I mean the brake on my .260 takes recoil down to .223 or under levels, I've never had to before because I want recoil down enough...

    Rifle Scopes quality scope questions

Unless it's a rimfire I have vowed that the lowest price I would pay for a scope is just over 300 which would be the SWFA SS fixed with a Tenebraex, I put it in a quality standpoint of a scope worth at least 500 more than the price

    Best varmint rifle from factory?

I guess the MVPs are supposedly a one trick pony, seen one guy out on the range with one, and it kinda flew the shots everywhere once it got to about 300... could be just his, but I've always heard it's a MOA or worse rifle

    Best varmint rifle from factory?

Varmints: For Walking - Tikka T3 Lite or an AR For Calling - Tikka T3 Varmint or Sporter, Savage 12, ect. I know if I were to get a system set up for walking/varminting, I'd probably get an AR in 6.5 Grendel or 6.8SPC... I love how they shoot in the first 500 Does anyone make ARs in .204...

Rifle Scopes Scope Mount with MOA Question

You shouldn't need it... you might need it if you were going out to 1000 or so, but yeah... shouldn't need it for only 600

Typical number of rounds you shoot on range day

Closest long range is about an hour 15 minutes away, so I try to make it an all day thing, usually 100-200 rounds per rifle, most of that is learning wind for 600-1000 ranges. That's something I consider my weak point of shooting long range precision here in the past year

    .260 and Varget

Varget is horrible with .260... please I shall pay you to send all you have to me so I can properly dispose of it... I shall properly dispose of it 39.3gr at a time with 123 scenars @ about 2925 in a 26" 1:8 barrel, with .25-.4 MOA from 100-1000yards

    Rifle Scopes Swfa 20x

If your range is out to 600 then I'd suggest the 10-12x, they have a little better quality view than the 16x I have the 16 for my .260, it's a great scope up to about 900-1000 yards, then the picture starts to get really dark going into shadows.... there is a glare if you're pointing in a...

    Savage 12 LRP factory barrel

So, I've been shooting my 12 LRP in .260 this past week... I'm wondering... how factory is the barrel or do they put a match barrel on it... I'm getting very close to .3-.4 MOA @ 1000 yards...Once I was able to get my dope, 4x6 steel target with 8 out of 10 hits off of a bipod... close to no...

    Rifle Scopes Mil Dot Clarification/Help

Just to give some help with your current scope... You have a Second focal plane scope... the guy on the phone said 7x... that should be your ranging zoom... your reticle mil dot is designed for that mag... IF your turrets are .1 mil turrets rather than MOA turrets you'll be fine on adjusting...

    Savage 12 LRP in .260

Tomorrow(Friday) heading out to Rayner's in Ohio to finally get to fully use everything. Scope (SWFA 16x42) finally came in this morning, so far I'm really impressed with it. This thing loves 39.1-39.3 Varget with the 123gr scenars, chrono'd at 2935-45. With a flat base it's zeroing at 150yds...
