    Advanced Marksmanship Depth Shooting

Re: Depth Shooting It has to do with your bullet drop and the range at which you can engage a specific size target without adjusting your dope or your POA. If you are engaging a deer that has a vital zone with a radius of 3". If you type in your input into JBM with that vital zone, it will...

    Advanced Marksmanship Depth Shooting

Re: Depth Shooting ^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^ I use this on my ballistic cards as well. Very accurate if your input is correct, and takes the math out of it . I do recommend knowing how to figure it out on your own though.

    Advanced Marksmanship Depth Shooting

Re: Depth Shooting I'm not sure if this is what your asking for but here goes........ If you have all your dopes for let's say 100 to 500 yards and let's say they are in MILS ie; 100 zero 200. .3 MILS 300. .9 MILS 400. 1.6 MILS 500. 2.4 MILS For example, if...

    Advanced Marksmanship wind doping

Re: wind doping Reading the wind at 3/4 range to target has produced good results for many years. That is hard enough and only achievable through experience, and careful, structured shot procedures and data book study. Print up some data cards for your caliber from JBM at a 10 MPH full...

Help my father pick a rifle ($2K to $2.5K)

Re: Help my father pick a rifle ($2K to $2.5K) I'm not much of a Savage guy, more REM 700's for me but I can't deny the fact that they shoot lights out, barrel swaps make easy caliber swaps, and the triggers are pretty slick. May want to look at a Savage in a 6.5 Creedmore. Spend the rest of...

which caliber would you choose for long range?

Fieldcraft rifle wrap how much is to much?

Re: rifle wrap how much is to much? I always used the rolled burlap bout 2" wide, and boot band to put natural veg in. As long as you dont wrap the barrel tight to the stock it will have no effect. Done testing on it. Doesnt have any effect as long as its not tight.

Where to start OAL or powder charge?

Re: Where to start OAL or powder charge? Find your Min and Max powder charges out of the book. Work your way from the Min to the Max in .5 grain increments. Then go fire a 3-5 rd group of each charge. You should be able to see your groups tighten up and the start to open back up again. Pick...

    Flattened Primers

Re: Flattened Primers Yes I have been. This brass has all been fired once out of my gun, and I FL resize everytime. So this may not be a sign of excessive pressure as much as it is the brass forming to my chamber? Will this continue to happen everytime I fire this brass after being FL...
