Egos were destroyed, hearts broken, and faces wind+sun burned on day 1. Food was eaten, beer was consumed that night to alleviate everything in the first sentence.
Egos were kicked when down, trophies were awarded, prizes raffled off (all of them), and more beer consumed Sunday.
I heard a LOT...
Sub-freezing lows in Florida in March is a load of bullshit. I've already filed 3 complaints with the weather department and they won't return my calls.
I've not had my hands on a scope with the EQL reticle yet. Honestly, I'm way more of a tree kinda guy than grids, so I probably won't get one. When they're ready to ship, I might see if I can borrow one for a bit to get photos, etc tho. I know @redx got to see one with an EQL at a private event...
Not one you see often, but I've been happy with PDC Custom. I've run the Gen4 Competition, X Project (Gen 4.5), and now Gen 5 Competition. I like them enough that I have 3, and I have a one-off extra long Gen5 for a light ELR rig being planned out.
The handful of times I have screwed around with night driving was on private property with private roads, which makes it a lot simpler. I taped off my headlights with gaffer tape, threw a black cloth over the dash and held it in place with more gaffer tape, and covered the few remaining...
I haven't had my hands on one with an EQL in person yet, but the G4P image on the website makes it look a lot thicker than it is in real life. I'm guessing this will be the same.
Nope. The only magnified optic I regularly use the illumination on is a 1-8.5.
Since they're shown on the Bushnell wesbite now, for those of you wanting a more grid-style reticle with finer holds, you might want to check out the newly announced EQL reticle for the XRS3 and DMR3.
The Burris rings you're referring to aren't going to override the mechanical limits of the scope. There's no zero stop to remove on the Match Pro, either.
If you're trying to hit 450 without holdovers, you're probably not going to pull it off with a Match Pro, unfortunately. It's a great scope...
