    Niles,krw thanks I came to the conclusion that I will send in a dummy round and let lri set the freebore.Krw I here u trying to figure this out made me want to stab myself in the forehead with a fork lol!!!Niles thanks about the info on the brass to,because I will be using Lapua brass.

    ruger american compact in .243?

    Not 243,but I picked my 10year old son up the compact 223 and it will keep the 62gr barnes triple shock inside a quarter at a 100 I say go for it cause when it gets cold and u have all that clothing on the lop won't feel that short.

    I am fixen to do the same thing and get the 6.5 I picked up the compact in 223 for my son and sighted it in tonight with the 62gr. tripleshocks the little thing shoots as good if not better than my sps tac. at a 100yrds.

    I have all my paper work in on a 30-p1,i about drove myself crazy on which can I wanted but when the smoke cleared common sense kicked in so I got the 30-p1.The guy I got it from is a big ACC nut and I thought he was going to cry when I told him I was going with thunderbeast.;)

    Ok,this might be a dumb ? but waiting on my 30-p1 goin on my sps tac 223 and I need to get my barrel threaded.So could I have it threaded for 5/8-24 or does it have to be 1/2-24.I just do not know if there would be a alinement problem thanks.

    Love the 308, finally picked up some 208 Amax's got my brass and primer's but can't find any rl17 to save my life,wished like hell varget or xbr8208 would work I have that and now it seems u can't find it either I will be hitting the S.A. gun show at the end of the month hopefully somebody...
