    For me personally I would not want FFP on a scope that goes down to 1x. Like most things in optics that's personal preference. For me FFP on the swfa is the deal breaker.

    If both are still new in box you might consider selling both now before they become used scopes, and putting the 500 towards a new scope. If they are already used you mise well give it a try.

    Ive owned 3 Nikon Buckmaster's all were 6-18's and not one tracked what so ever. Not all scopes track so with that scope in my experiance your going to have to hold for range.

    Oh then you are good to go. Grab a Vortex Viper 6.2-20. It tracks, is durable, decent glass, plenty of travel for your appliciation, best warranty in the business. It doesnt have alot of the frills other scopes have, but its a good solid preformer. I guess I was miss reading your first post...

    Adjust your dipoter and it will be true 1x. I dont think there is a FFP version of this scope available. If there was I would recomend the SFP version. If the reticle was 1/4 of the size on 1x it would look like a little dot

    No but you can get close, the 6-24 pst ffp is 949, has illumination, and has zero stop, but it has the same 19mil of travel as your current scope.
