    Remington 700 Trigger Issues?

Re: Remington 700 Trigger Issues? As long as your trigger is set properly you should not have any issues. Both the Army and Marine Corps use a Remington 700 action and trigger and they have for many decades. If you are worried enough that you do not trust it have a Triggersmith check it...

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread As all of the basic issue M24 items have been detailed in this thread, maybe we should continue into more detail on the A2, the MARS rail, pictured here; http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=289971987 is very useful if you want to mount the clip on...

    Opinions on Rem 700 triggers.

Re: Opinions on Rem 700 triggers. I bought an older 700 trigger and learned how to tune them myself, got it to break like a glass rod a 3 pounds, no creep or overtravel. Not very hard to learn and the knowledge gained can serve you well.

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread To update and somewhat correct the previous posts on the EMA and the ARD for the M24 I present the original issue EMA made by Decilog, cage code 2F218, part number 12950986, NSN 1240-01-380-6326. This rarely seen laser filter is made of aluminum unlike the current...

Remington XM2010 on the civilian market?

Re: Remington XM2010 on the civilian market? I saw one at the last Market Hall show in Dallas, Mod Armory had it, that upgrade adds at least 5 pounds maybe more to the standard M24 platform and that was just the barreled action and stock no optics, it will sure soak up that .300 Win Mag...

    Future of Remington's 5R

Re: Future of Remington's 5R Another M24 myth stated here AGAIN, M24's DO NOT have a 40X trigger, they are M24 triggers, made specifically for the M24 and are quite different than a 40x.

New to the Hide, Looking for opinions.

Re: New to the Hide, Looking for opinions. Try some diff ammo types, I had a Browning A bolt in 270 years ago and it only liked one loading. Once you find what it likes it will do better for you.

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread I have seen the MK 4 M3 variable 3.5-10 on a students rifle at Benning, do not know about any others like the 6.5-20 used on the M2010. You might find a MK4 M1 in use as well as those are in the inventory but I have no evidence of use on the M24.

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread It also seems clear that the etched glass "Army" mildot reticle was never out of producton. The fact is that glass reticle M3 10x42 scopes have been witnessed through out the entire production range of all types. It was used in the Ultra series, MARK 4 M3 10x42 and...

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread I have personally seen M3-10X LR/T scopes on US Army Sniper rifles, recent production runs as well with the Weber sights, 2 piece Leupold bases, etc. I also own a Mark 4 M3 and M3 LR/T that have glass reticles, and had a wire reticle M1 at one point. The Ultra M3a...

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread A question for the Army Snipers, are there any day optics in use that are marked "MARK 4 M3-10x" on the bottom? I know there are the Ultra M3a marked scopes and the newer LR/T M3s with only a serial number that are in use but the MARK 4 marked are in question...

    Army M24 Build Thread

Re: Army M24 Build Thread Pre64WIN, I can close this floor metal issue for you, if the 510 has a rounded outside contour and thin trigger bow it is not the correct M24 metal and was not used. I had a SA Dakota as you describe many years ago and it was contoured like something you would see...
