    If you mean the 6 screws that go into the bottom of the forend into the aluminum rail, then no. They were in a baggie. There also wasn't an instruction sheet, but it was easy enough to download it off the KRG website.

    Thanks Justin. I guess that means to make sure to install those forend screws, which I did. The instructions should mention that since they were in a bag and not screwed into the stock when it arrived.

    Yikes, those are $4000-8000. I was thinking a little crest model at $700 was a stretch. The little Hornady lock'n load for $110 gets bad reviews, but it's only for some jewelry and a bolt carrier groups. I don't think I'll even mess with brass in it. The tumblers I have are fine.

    adjusting Howa HACT trigger

    I did my trigger today. It came set at 3.5lbs. I followed the youtube vid and clipped 1 1/4 coils off the spring and it's breaking at 1lb 11oz. I'll wait until I get the rifle fully built, safety checked, and range tested before calling it good to go.

    I'm building a Howa 1500/KRG. I ordered the $40 plastic mag well/trigger guard from Brownells. After looking through reviews of the Legacy rifles already built, the trigger guards look metal? Are they the $210 CDI? If they are, so much for saving $200 screwing it together myself :confused:

    Thanks. And yes, typo, it's the 4-14x50. I was going to wait for the scope to arrive to swag ring height, but I think I'll go ahead and try a set of 1" height and see how close it is.
