    Re: .223 bolt hitting rifle scope It contacts against about half way back on the adjustable lens. It rubs against the middle of the bolt handle. It doesn't SLAM into it or anything but it does rub a 'lil and it has rubbed a tiny bit of paint off the scope. I don't mind a little cosmetic...
