    How accurate are M1s/M14s?

Re: How accurate are M1s/M14s? We have built 5030 M14EBR-RIs so far to date and our average MOA is .89. This is with rack grade standard weight barrels but they are all MIL SPEC M14s. M1As due to the tolerance differences may or may not perform as well. Our rejection point is 1.5 MOA and we...

My attempt at a mk14 mod 1 build

Re: My attempt at a mk14 mod 1 build Don't worry about accuracy untill you have put at least 1 full mag through it. Our experience is that it can take anywhere from 3 to 20 rounds for everything to seat in and start really shooting to it's full potential.

Re: Monopod for the PRS2 from Magpul H2O man, you need to get Ron Smith to order you the Sage rail that mounts to that stock to accept the Accushot Monopod.

    Future US Service Rifle

Re: Future US Service Rifle Gee sounds a lot like the old XM8 program... Barrels could be changed at the unit level to adapt to specific missions, caliber could be changed by adding a different magazine well, bolt and barrel. Hmmmm maybe it's time to buy stock in H&K.

    M14/M1A dudes

Re: M14/M1A dudes I heard these kits came from drill rifles, which had the barrel and bolt welded to make them drill rifles.

    M1A ACCURACY EXPECTATION?

Re: M1A ACCURACY EXPECTATION? I have shot thousands of rack stock M14s that we have installed in Sage stocks. Our rejection point is 1.5MOA. With that said, we have only had one rifle out of 5030 fail that criteria. Our average is .89 with two old Viet Nam vets shooting off of a bench on an...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan Mike504, thanks for the assessment. Yours is pretty much in line with the other feedback that we have been receiving on the M14EBR-RI from in the Box. I have sent you a PM with my official contact information if you have any problems or...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan Maintenance on the M14EBR-RI is really no different from that on the M24SWS, the M110 SASS or the M107 Barret. They are all sent back to the manufacturer for maintenance. There are plenty of M14 parts in the system to support the barreled...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan Please keep in mind, that there have been close to 3 thousand Sage stocks sold to individual Army units whom converted their rack stock M14s into EBR like configurations. Not all of these were successful as the experience level was lacking...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan Cost per EBR is under 3K. Most of this is optics and accessories. The 1.5 MOA is the reject point. Installing an M14 into a Sage stock is equivalent to when we glass bedded the NM and M21 systems, however installation in a Sage stock takes...

Marksmen issued better M14 rifles in Afghanistan

Re: Marksmen issued better rifles in Afghanistan Gee, there seems to be a lot of pent up anger and agression on this board. You guys need to go to the range and relax by converting gun powder into noise. For your information, The M14EBR-RI is built with rack stock Code A M14s right out of...
