    Mounting an Atlas bipod on a Savage MKII FVSR

    Re: Mounting an Atlas bipod on a Savage MKII FVSR I took a file to an old weaver scope base, opened up the slot to accept the cross bolt. Then used a couple of wood screws to hold the base on the forend.

    Re: Long Range .22lr offhand at 500 Yards Most of them just do not have enough sight adjustment. My scope only allows 96 minutes. With 5 minutes "wasted" on the bottom, somewhere just past 426yards depending on temperature is my highest adjustment.

    Re: New Trainer Rifle 3/8 and 11 millimeters are pretty close. It seems like you can use a 3/8 mount on a 11mm grove, but an 11mm mount on a 3/8 groove might need some alteration.

    Re: 17hm2 It's a fun little round, but I have better luck in feild shooting situations with good bulk pack .22lr. Where I live wind can cause problems. When shooting ground squirrels out in the grass it is difficult to see the impact when you miss. .22 long rifle kicks up a little more...

I have very similar rifle but it's marked mod 64, the thought of a 16" tube on it has already pushed me to talk to my freind who has a lathe, no action yet on that front.
