You can ascertain this two ways. The quick and dirty way is to seat a bullet gradually deeper in a sized but unprimed/uncharged case and put the same model of bullet alongside on the bench with the tips level to see where the shank/shoulder junction lies in the case and judge that ~0.025" gap by...- 30cal user

Back at it today with max length for my AI mags 6.5 RSAUM GAP built .081 FB 24" bbl guessing 8.7 twist 2.955 COAL 2.262 CBTO 156 Berger EOL RP 7&300 saum brass, twice fires, 2.020 case length, my necks are very thin, loaded only gets me .289 od and I think I need to test no turn brass also 62...- 30cal user

Quickest procedure to reduce time/trips to the range in load development?
Get an arbor press and inline seater and bring it to the range with a lot loaded rounds at different charges and depths both are inexpensive- 30cal user
