    1000 yard rifle in a 308???

    Re: 1000 yard rifle in a 308??? I can hit a 18" plate at 915 using a buddy's custom 308. Hand loads and a Horus Vision Predator scope. I shoot 8" plate steel at 500 yards using my Next Generation Arms AR-15 very customized with a Hours Vision Raptor scope.

    1000 yard rifle in a 308???

    I'm looking to buy a 308 that will shoot very accurately at 1k yards. I have about 1k budget for just the gun. I have been looking at the Savage 12 bench. Any opinions would be helpful please keep in mind I'm new to long range shooting so I might not have all of the terminology correct.
