Under gassed 6.5CM JP LRP-07 clone?

May not be helpful, but I recently had a problem with my 6.5 AR I thought was under gassed. Turns out I was actually over gassed to the point that the buffer was bouncing off the end of the tube faster than the bolt catch could catch it. I have a SLR gas block, full weight carrier, and JP...

    Night Vision Monitor for X320

Maybe something like this? FRYS.com*|*HYPER MICROSYSTEMS, INC. It has an internal battery and AV inputs. Ideally, would be better to find one without a DVD player.

Confused MATEN .308 and Vltor A5 tube

My understanding is that with a maten you can use a standard 223 length collapsible tube with a shorter than standard 223 length buffer (offered by slash). Or, you can use the longer vltor tube with a standard length buffer. On my 6.5cm maten I'm running the longer vltor tube with an h3 buffer...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Talk me into selling my M&P 9 and getting a Sig 226

Accuracy in what sense? Do you mean standing still slow fire? Or USPSA type shooting? If you don't already shoot some kind of USPSA or IPSC style shooting, I would suggest giving it a try before buying or selling anything, especially if this is gun you carry for self defense.

    In-Ear Electronic Protection questions

I've been considering trying one of the in ear plugs from Etymotic. They are generally an in ear headphone company that is well known for good headphones. Custom molded stuff for musicians, and headphones for audio enthusiasts. Their electronic plugs seem to be getting good reviews. I doubt they...

Sidearms & Scatterguns School me on suppressors

Not being a dick, but here is the best way I have found to search for this kind of stuff. It limits the google search to just one website, instead of the whole internet. With good keywords, you can very quickly find some great info that can sometimes get buried in forums. Type the following...

Suppressors SWR Specwar 7.62 Vs. ThunderBeast 30p-1 (Input Wanted)

Have those in hand yet? If so, any comments on the specwar? Do you find the mount system easy to switch between your AR's? Any issues with wobble or carbon build up?

Recommend a rifle to learn on? And why a PF action?

I think it's pretty tough to figure out exactly what you want before you get your feet wet. For that reason, I think that a 308 700 SPS (or one of the 26" models if you prefer) dropped into any of the chassis systems (AI, Mcree, XLR, etc) is a good and easy way to start. You get to learn, go...

Best AR barrel smith price and quality in mind

Here is another option: Barrel, 18.5", .308 AR, Medium Weight, 1x10, Stainless, Match Quality, FA by Criterion Keep in mind that Criterion was started by Krieger. I am not sure why they went with a .936 gas block though on a medium profile barrel though, but that may not bother you.

Using Ballistic Calculator on I phone or Driod...

This. Your scope base angles your view down slightly, then when you zeroed your scope, you angled it back up, so it doesn't matter for this. It just gives you more scope travel by placing your zero away from the middle of travel.

14.5 mid-length Training Upper - Noveske, Rainier or what?

I have a pencil barrel BCM 16" I've been shooting 3 gun with for a few years. With good ammo it is a tiny bit over 1 moa, which I think is plenty accurate for run and gun matches. I also have a 14.5 pencil barrel N4 barrel that shoots great. I haven't tested it for groups, but with irons at 300...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Common Glock "problem"? Slide releases with loaded mag insertion

This is normal and I wouldn't worry about it. I've had it happen with my glocks, and seen it happen with friends glocks and occasionally other pistols. Also, Ken Hackathorn covered this in a class I took with him and indicated it was normal for glocks. I'm not sure when you would do a forceful...

Has anyone used the Battleline SAPR to get a better cheek weld?

I prefer to lower the optic if at all possible versus using a cheekrest. I'm using a nightforce unimount, the low model. I want to say that it is a 1.125 height, but google it to make sure. With a 50mm nightforce, I just barely have enough clearance over the hand guard, and it puts the optic at...

Semi-Auto vs Bolt Gun: Precision/Tactical Matches

Regarding gas gun versus bolt velocity, I have a 22" Krieger barreled gas gun, and my friend a 26" rock barreled 700. With factory 140 amax, I get 2689 fps average and he gets 2766. Around 19 fps / inch, which sounds about right.
