I use the coax press to prime because of what I read in the instructions: Which is why I'm twice as accurate as the rest of ya and win all the matches I enter. [/FONT]

    Annealing 6.5Cr Hornady brass

I can concur with Skigolfmike. I usually use from 42 to 42.5 H4350 with my 140 class bullets and I have brass that is still going after 15 firings. I do anneal every firing. I usually don't primer pocket uniform, or do it once on virgin brass, and haven't had any primers come loose...but I do...

    How about a gardening thread?

Tag, great thread keep it going! Wife and I have been wanting to take the plunge with some planter boxes that have been idle for a couple years now. We will probably make our virgin attempt this coming spring. We do have a lime tree that is a major producer (about 50 huge limes this year)...

    Score!! H4350

I was thinking the same thing...normally I'd expect to be drooling over pics of some new rifle sitting on the bed of that truck. Yet I find myself drooling over some plastic jugs and its not even a strip club.

    260 vs 6.5x47 out to 1000 yards?

My 6x47L has been amazing (by my standards, only been shooting rifle 2 years). Most everything I put in it has shot well....SD has been 2 to 7. First time I've had 4-5" groups at 900. Right now shooing 40.3gr N160 and 105 hybrids @ 3075. With a APA LB brake I'm seeing trace at short distances...

WTF is up with this Apple iOS 7 update?

Dumped iphone for Galaxy S4...very happy sofar. Bigger porn, bluetooth kestrel works, and my smugness has decreased to tolerable levels.

Advanced Marksmanship Supporting weight with elbows in prone

For my current setup it is difficult not to have some weight on my elbows, I just make sure to minimize it and stay off the bony tip of the elbow. If you can put lower rings on it would help, looks like your bipod is up a notch or two. I'm 6'2" and have a giraffe neck, I require two notches on...

    Verge of breakdown

I shoot at half minute or better with my bolt guns easily...gassers - forget it, entirely different beast. You have to have a very disciplined follow through.

Rear bags...is there such a thing as a perfect one?

https://www.riflesonly.com/pro-shop/tactical-kit/wiebad-tac-pac.html Use it frequently and interchangeably as a rear bag, elbow rest, ankle rest (kneeling position), pillow. Its light, durable...just bulky.

    meaningful practice schedule ?

I've been starting to do what Frank mentioned...make a plan. I go to the range with some of the weaknesses I've encountered in recent events and I dry fire the CoF a dozen or so times then do a live run. On days I can't make it to the range my CoF looks something like: Shooter will engage the...

Stainless steel pins stuck in .260 Rem cases

I decap, tumble, anneal then size and trim/chamfer. It is probably just as much effort either way except you are not taking pliers to your brass and probably adding more scratches to the inner case neck. Not as much risk in leaving a pin in as well IMO. To avoid tumbling a second time I lube...

    Finding the Lands

If you use a case that is not trimmed evenly or enough then you won't be engaging the headspace correctly...that and your distance to lands will never decrease obviously. I would venture a guess that your 'barely-sized" lapua case was not properly trimmed. Offtopic: The one thing I have been...
