Is this a damaged crown?
It's the inner edge of the chamfer that will effect accuracy, you should be fine. Unless the ding is deep enough to deform the edge into the bore, but doesn't look like it does in your case.- Sum Ting Wong

Gunsmithing Anyone ever use a reamer and a tap wrench to ream a .22 barrel?

Para, not sure... I got it in pieces from my gunsmith buddy and it has no markings other than serial number. It has .32 S&W stamped in the barrel but a .32-20 cylinder. The bore is nice and bright but the rifling is very faint so I think I'll throw a 4.75" .38 barrel on it and re chamber the...- Sum Ting Wong

Best savage .223 bolt action?
I bought my wife a Stevens model 200 (I think it runs the model 10 action?) in .223 because she wanted a deer rifle. It was only $250 out the door so figured I didn't have much to lose. Are you asking if your claim that it performs great is BS? Dunno, haven't seen your rifle or group sizes and also dunno what you consider a "great" performer.
